Deepawali 2025 Festivals List Date and Time: This year, Diwali will be celebrated on Monday, October 20, 2025, with the five-day festivities starting from Dhanteras on Saturday, October 19, and concluding with Bhai Dooj on Thursday, October 23.


Diwali 2025Diwali / Deepawali, or the Festival of Lights, is one of the most widely celebrated Hindu festivals, observed across India with joy and enthusiasm.

It is considered the festival of joy, happiness, and prosperity and is marked by decorating homes with diyas and candles, dressing up in new clothes, exchanging gifts, and indulging in delectable Indian cuisine.

The festival is observed on the 15th day of Kartik in the Hindu lunar calendar, on the Amavasya Tithi, with this year being celebrated on Monday, October 20, 2025.


It is a five-day festival which starts with Dhanteras and concludes with Bhai Dooj, with Diwali being celebrated for two days: Chhoti Diwali, also known as Naraka Chaturdashi, and Badi Diwali, also known as Diwali.
